Kai's 1st Birthday

Kai turned 1 this last week,

 so we had a party!!!

 A "Brown bear, brown bear" party

 It is his favorite book - he's quite obsessed with it actually.

 So, it made it so fun to throw him a party like this.

 We got him the other "bear" books from Eric Carle...he's in heaven...

 This is his "Meet My Family" book we made so he can know all the names of the people in his family.

 Grandma Middlemiss gave him his first Utes sweatshirt

 Singing Happy Birthday - he got really quiet and just stared at everyone looking at and singing to him - I think he was a bit overwhelmed.

 Bu, bu shirt! That's what he calls his Brown Bear book and what he said when I showed him his birthday shirt.

 Of course he had to pull down and read his book!  He loves to open the windows by himself now.

 I am in love with this picture of him.  Here are some of the meanings of his name as well.

 He didn't dig into his cake much (ok, not at all) but he shared with his mama.

 His Nanny (great grandma barker) and Gramps (great grandpa bohling)

 He was very tired by the end of the night.

We sure love this boy!
